Steven Sylvester played First Class cricket for Middlesex and Nottinghamshire CCC. He also played Academy football for Oxford United. Steven is a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol.) and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS). He is a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Steven has been a pioneer of transformational change in sport and business since 1996. Working with many executives, athletes, and world champions, Steven assesses how to increase performance and well-being.
Today Steven is busy training clients with his approach that delivers insights that power even greater performance advantage.
His intrigue grew out of his own desire to understand his performance highs and lows. On one day, he was able to perform with freedom, whilst on another, he wasn’t. His inconsistent performance led him to retire early from the professional game to pursue a career as a psychologist. His research revealed five key psychological dimensions that impact an individual's ability to express with freedom when it counts.
Some of his research with elite athletes & World Champions, across many sports, has been outlined in his first published book – Detox Your Ego.
